Doesn't see JTAG link after IC is programmed.īased on my understanding after several times of reading, it seems like you have blown the fuse and thus you cant detect the FPGA using Quartus Programmer. Thus I dont see it is valid in this point. Once the fuse is blown, you cant detect FPGA using Quartus Programmer already. The fuse has to be blown for jtag communication of the programmed IC. So now you can detect the IC but it gives you error? So which scenario are you saying? There are 3 different scenario. ![]() When I auto detect the programmed IC with the quartus program, it gives the device not found error. You can detect device with Quartus Programmer and then you cant detect device with Quartus Programmer? Are you saying this? Octopart is the worlds source for PL-USB-BLASTER-RCN availability, pricing, and technical specs and other electronic parts. I can not see it from quartus with EPM7032S byteblaster that I removed from my device. Find the best pricing for Intel / Altera PL-USB-BLASTER-RCN by comparing bulk discounts from 10 distributors. Below are the steps.ġ - Go to windows 10 settings and search for "advanced startup options"Ģ - Under Advanced startup, hit "Restart now"ģ - After a moment, you'll get a "choose an option" screen - choose "Troubleshoot", then "Advanced options", then "Startup Settings"Ĥ - You'll get a screen telling you what you will be able to change and a single "Restart" button - press it.ĥ - If your boot drive is BitLocker encrypted, you'll need to enter the recovery key (press return, enter the key in the text box then hit return again - it took me three goes to realize I had to hit return before I could enter they key !)Ħ - You'll be given a menu of options, number 7 disables driver signature enforcementħ - When the PC restarts, use Device manager to update the drivers - this time you'll get a warning about the signature, but they install fine.I can see the EPM7032S empty IC from the quartus program with Byteblaster. After driver installation, then only enable it back. I did see there were patches made for this by intel, but none work for the lite version of the program, only the pro version.Īny solutions would be appreciated as I've ran out of ideas on how to get it to work, other than going the VM route which I'd like to avoid.Īnother approach you may consider is manually disable the driver signature enforcement. This is the first time I've encountered this error as there was never a driver cert issue going on, but now I have professors unable to use their hardware on my lab machines as the USB-Blaster driver, even though technically installed, still isn't allowing for hardware/software interface to happen. Now I managed to get the driver to install once I disabled driver signature enforcement in windows 10, but it seems it's still technically not working as the software wont interface with our DE10 FPGA devices. zip file here Extract this folder and copy usb-blaster folder which contanis x32 and 圆4 folders, licence.txt. ![]() ![]() Did some digging around and the issue is caused by the driver certificate being out of date for the USB-Blaster driver (Expired in may of this year I think). Currently having an issue getting Quartus Prime Lite to install properly on windows 10 machines.
